The second I began to stir this morning my brain does as it tends to do and floods the space between my eyes with hundreds of tiny snapshots of the upcoming day. There are the questionnaires for city council endorsements, the essay that is due, the bill I forgot to pay on Monday, whether or not I have time to go for a walk, the coffee I don’t smell because I forget to make it last night, and damnit, the hominy I meant to soak for today’s posole.
